My family had to do it, and yes, it weren’t no fun
When Dad’s truck rolled in a ditch again
Something had to be done
We didn’t wait for a bigger crash
Or wish the thing away
Dad didn’t want to give up driving
But we made him anyway
Now Uncle Joe’s running for president
And we all saw the debate-car-crash
Spinners say it was just a bad night
But that’s just balderdash
That’s not the way that aging works
It only gets worse with time
For 90 minutes Joe couldn’t string together a coherent thought
Or counter any lies
Love you Joe, you’ve got a good heart
Despite what some might say
But as far as serving four more years
It’s time to take the keys away
