Wanted to have their COVID conspiracy say

About masks and vaccine mandates in play

Treading on their freedom

My body, my choice, they say

Dictators can’t force that jab

We’ll decide our public health

We don’t believe in Fauci’s lab

They say vaccination is a choice, but clearly most ain’t got it

Their leader says natural immunity is the way

And this crowd seems to support it

Not sure which I hate the most

Cloaking their garbage in Jesus or the Flag

Both displayed heavily and upfront

They say stuff never heard in my church

I hope they don’t think they have a lock on God

I wasn’t raised that Jesus hated scientists

Or the medicines they bring

But don’t tell these Trump-supporters

And their political preacher kings

These people wave American flags

Making patriotic plea

But real patriots sacrifice for the common good

As opposed to crying me, me, me

And the tribe chants in unison

With their symbols and their sounds

The proud and strutting patriots

Righteous in their crowd

More than a whiff of politics

With Trump flags in the breeze

Ah, politics and religion

Twisted to deceive

I also don’t like government

Telling folks what to do

But public health takes cooperation

I’ll help you, please help me too

Had some interesting feedback to this sign. Ah, the beauty of sarcasm. Note the Nicki Manaj homage at bottom: “Nicki Manaj’s cousin’s friend’s swollen balls don’t lie” If you’re not hip to it, look it up and see the folly of a pop artist with 22 million followers spouting out crazy COVID info. Nicki says she’s still doing her research before she gets vaccinated. She’s probably in the lab doing experiments right now.
After I confuse them with my sarcasm, I flip the sign and smack ’em in the face: “Attention Dummies, get vaccinated, mask up” Bonus news flash at bottom: “Trump lost, Earth is round” More than one person advised me I was in the wrong place, here at the rally point before the march. A citizen journalist from Kauai accused me of being an “agent provocateur” and wanted to know who’s payroll I was on. Shit, I thought, you mean somebody would pay me to do this!
