They outnumber Taliban fighters
Got better equipment too
Even got an Air Force
Is there anything this Army can’t do?
Well yes, actually, they can’t do much
As far as holding terrain
With Americans gone, they’ve lost their crutch
The enemy is making gains
But the pace of change, the utter collapse
At their posts they refuse to stay
When confronted with a Taliban advance
The Afghan Army melts away
You can dress them up
Buy them tickets to the ball
But the Afghan Army
Must dance on their own
With little allegiance to a corrupt central government
Afghan soldiers vote with their feet
I hear the Taliban pays better
And they’ll throw in a wife as a treat
I’ve read Afghan Special Forces are good
I wish all of them good luck
But my overall assessment remains
The Afghan Army sucks
