I Hope You Felt My Love

Traces of faces

Of people and places

Collide in my mind

Without rhyme

Memories make me

Just as they take me

To those places now covered by time

Loved ones and acquaintances

I’ve mingled through the years

Happy times, times of joy

And sad times full of tears

Think of me, I’ll think of you

We may not meet again

Times ticks on relentlessly

Death comes

Not if, but when

I’m not folding, I’m just holding pat

My mingle gears are low

Pandemic lifestyle sucked me in

I’m short on get-up-and-go

But now that I’m vaccinated

And COVID’s on the run

Might have to get out and about again

Careful now, possible fun

But if I never see you again

Before one of us is dust

Not sure I lived the best way

But I hope you felt my love

An unknown man contemplates the future.
Oh, wait a second, that’s just me, spacing out for no particular reason.
Party on, Garth.
