Steel gray sky today
Heavy air not stirring
Something looming, somewhere
Three days of rain coming, they say
So I should get out
On this last dry day
Riding in the car
Pandemic traffic is light
Mist falling
Intermittent wipe
Empty beach
Flat surf lapping
Cool morning light
Dream-like and alone
Walking on the sand
I see rain on the mountains
Gray skies blend to sea
Uncertainty
Shirt and slippers peeled
I plunge into the cool
Ocean-water bliss
And surrender to her kiss
And all is right again, again
