Was thinking ‘bout some travel
Some places I might go
Then COVID came a callin’
And put my moves on hold
Thought of working part time
Or volunteer in town
But virus is a stalkin’
So better hunker down
Friend gonna have a party
Outside and on his deck
I told him sorry buddy
Gotta take rain check
Want to hire some workers
To put down wooden floor
But wife don’t want ‘em inside
While fightin’ COVID war
I’d like to visit family
And give some folks a hug
No way when people dying
Of Coronavirus bug
Flying sucks in best of times
And these times ain’t all that
Guess I’m stuck Oahu
With wife and dogs and cats
Woe is me
So pitiful
To complain my dismal lot
I know I got it easy
In this dark and twisted plot
Let’s hang in there smiling
Or trying not to cry
No guarantees in this life
Except one day………(drum roll)……..we die
