In the last two weeks I watched all of the impeachment inquiry testimonies, as well as President Trump’s response to them.  Have I mentioned I don’t have a job?

The following poem was inspired.

Drumbeat of Lies

Tell me again, oh Orange One

How Obama is not a citizen

How McCain is not a hero

How your bone spurs hurt so bad

 

Tell me again, oh Orange One

How Russia wouldn’t do it

How Ukraine has the server

How Putin wouldn’t lie

 

Tell me again, oh Orange One

How Yovanovitch is bad news

Vindman is disloyal

Fiona Hill got it wrong

Immigrants all, not to be trusted

 

Tell me again, oh Orange One

How the phone call was so perfect

Your actions beyond reproach

Your fine service to the nation

 

The Orange One beats the drum

Drumbeat of lies

Drum, drum, drum

Lies, lies, lies

Drumbeat of lies

Makes us all so numb

Hail to the truth tellers.  If this is the Deep State, we need more of it.

 

Yovanovitch
Former US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch delivered a powerful opening statement during her testimony before House impeachment investigators. She detailed her decades of service as a diplomat, and expressed concern that her sudden ouster due to an orchestrated smear campaign this past spring could have a chilling effect on those who are sincerely committed to rooting out corruption in Ukraine and elsewhere.
She told the House impeachment inquiry  that she felt threatened by President Trump and “shocked, appalled, devastated” that he vilified her in a call with another foreign leader.  Even while she testified, Trump attacked her in real time on Twitter.   Can you say “witness intimidation”…..how about “douchebag.”

According to the Army Times, “Fox News has given no indication that it plans to address on the air a segment that ran on Laura Ingraham’s show where a guest appeared to question whether Army Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman was a Ukranian spy.

 

Hill
Dr. Fiona Hill, the former top Russia expert on the National Security Council, testifying before Congress on 21 Nov

Hill testified:
– Ukraine pressure campaign was a ‘domestic political errand’ divergent from U.S. national security.
– In rebuke to Trump, Hill denounced ‘fictional’  claim that Ukraine meddled in 2016 election.
– “Clear impression’ that Trump withheld aid for investigations; Burisma was ‘code’ for Biden.
– Described what Bolton called a ‘drug deal’ on Ukraine: ‘Investigations for a meeting.’
– Republicans could gain no traction questioning Dr. Hill, so took to lecturing her instead
